ProGrow Gardening is building a network of trusted landscape service providers across Ottawa. Clear referral agreement, low fee, and a defined window after which the client is fully yours. It goes both ways.
How It Works
We often recive client request's for services out of our scope or area. Instead of turning them away, we refer them to vetted contractors in our network. You get a warm introduction to a qualified client, and we take a referral fee after you complete the work, based on the engagement type. After the no-cut-out period ends, the client is fully yours with no fee or obligation.
If you find work that's in our scope such as garden maintenance, planting, or yard cleanup - send them our way. We pay the same rate back to you.
This is a two-way referral network. You're not just paying us, as you can earn too. Same rate, same rules on both sides.
Three Engagement Types
The fee rate and no-cut-out period depend on how the job is structured. Both are confirmed in the written introduction.
- When you pay: Within 14 days of receiving client payment
- No-cut-out: 18 months from written introduction
- After 18 months: Client is yours. No fee, no notice, no obligation.
- Staged invoicing: Fee applies to each payment received
- When you pay: Within 14 days of receiving client payment
- No-cut-out: Through the end of the first contracted season
- Season 2 onward: Client is fully yours. No fee, no notice, no restriction on renewals.
- When you pay: Within 14 days of receiving client payment
- No-cut-out: 7 days after job completion
- On Day 8: Fully clear. No fee, no notice, no restriction.
No-cut-out clock starts on written introduction - not the quote date, the first invoice, or the first payment. This is stated on our Referral Notification Form.
If a Referred Client Contacts You Directly
If a referred client reaches out to you directly during the no-cut-out period for new work, additional improvements, or anything else, notify us in writing within 5 business days. This applies whether or not you take the work.
Reciprocal Terms
10% of invoice (excl. taxes)
8% of contract value
6% of invoice (incl. touch-ups)

Before any introductions are made, a signed referral agreement must be in place. You'll receive it for review with no obligation.
Who We're Looking For
Licensed, insured contractors in any of these categories:
Minimum requirements: $2M CGL insurance, WSIB clearance in good standing, all applicable licences and certifications valid and current.
Service Area
Serving residential and commercial clients across Ottawa and surrounding areas, with a core focus on Nepean, Barrhaven, Riverside South, Manotick, and Kanata.
